It’s been three months since I began the latest Mobvoi smartwatch it’s called the Mobvoi TicWatch 5. Based on my experiences I’m convinced that this is an amazing smartwatch. We’ll come the reason why an additional time in the piece.

The past couple of months have offered me numerous occasions to try the device to its maximum and I’ve brought it for hikes, used it for ultra-long cycling rides, and also as a smartwatch that I can use everyday.

Overall this watch has been performing exceptionally well and has similar performance to what I’ve seen on other watches, such as Google’s Google Pixel Watch when it is tracking health.

As a bonus, Mobvoi sent me this watch to test to see if it worked, however this isn’t an official blog sponsored by Mobvoi and all views and opinions of mine.

However, without further discussion I will share my honest view after 3 months wearing my device…

Design and Build Quality

I was hoping to begin this review of 3 months with the look and high-end of the watch, as I’m not sure if it’s something I’ve discussed in previous reviews.

As for aesthetics, I feel this watch is stunning and stunning, particularly when it is in the Sandstone color which, I’m not sure could have been the colour I’d have chosen. But, it has become more attractive to me and should it be a possibility on a futuristic smartwatch I’d certainly go to the colour.

This is because when I look at people using smartwatches they generally appear very similar. Typically, the most popular watch I observe can be the Apple Watch which is fine and is an excellent watch. There are a few of Samsung watches, however they are not nearly as numerous compared to Apple Watch. Apple Watch.

I believe that the aspect that the Sandstone model of the watch stand out is an excellent thing. I’m talking about wearing TicWatch Pro 5 TicWatch Pro 5, I have people ask me which model of watch I believe is due to the fact that it is different than the rest of the pack.

This creates a unique personality and keeps people truly interested in the watch.

In terms of the bezel I believe it’s a great design. Mobvoi did a great job on the crown as well as the button. They feel luxurious and it doesn’t feel difficult to push, as it is with the Pixel Watch.

One thing I do not like concerning the design and quality of this watch is the strap that is included along with it. It’s true that Mobvoi has made the strap appear like that of a strap on your normal watch, however, I have noticed that at times the strap is removed from the holder for straps, which could be a nuisance.

In all truth it is possible for this to occur to any watch, and I’m glad the fact that Mobvoi has chosen to stick with more classic with their timepiece.

Performance

The watch comes with this watch’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor the performance of this watch is truly exceptional!

For normal use I’ve yet experience the watch crashing or slow down. All of my apps tested worked exceptionally excellent on the watch and that’s crucial.

One of the worst things you can expect is to have your watch be sluggish and crash constantly and crash, something I’ve encountered on numerous WearOS as well as Android Wear smartwatches, but not with the TicWatch Pro 5.

In the event of intense outdoor pursuits using the GPS feature, the wristwatch only works.

Because we’re discussing the performance of this watch, I wanted to discuss the longevity of the battery. It is still quite impressive. This watch is on my wrist at the moment I write this review, and it’s at 62%. I’m not even able to remember when the most recent time I recharged the watch.

In comparison to Google’s Google Pixel Watch, I was required to charge it each day so that it would continue to run throughout the evening and day.

User Experience

It’s true that I do talk about the hardware from time to occasion, but I think that it’s not the most important aspect, but the experience for the user is. My overall experience using this watch to date was extremely good.

It’s great to use, it offers me good exercise tracking. Also, the design of the watch is stunning and I truly enjoy using it.

Mobvoi has done an outstanding work with their software. the fitness applications built in are excellent and the watch face designs built in are awe-inspiring.

As we’re talking about software, we must look at one of the most important issues update. When we wrote this piece, WearOS 4 is not accessible on the platform, however the watch has been updated with numerous WearOS 3 updates, which is quite nice!

I’m hoping this watch will be upgraded to WearOS 4. Next year, because this is truly outstanding!

Also, I would like to see Google Assistant as it is important to have it there and not just enhance the overall experience for users improved, but it helps make the device more efficient.

But, I’ve used the Alexa app, which you use using the crown by holding it for just a few seconds I’ll be honest I haven’t had a bad experience. poor. It’s true that the Alexa application is simple but it seems to function.

Then I’ll get to my next issue in the event that you’re an iPhone wearer, the device isn’t compatible with iOS. The Mobvoi application as well as Health Copilot Health Copilot app don’t support this watch as of the date that I was writing this piece This is unfortunate however, it’s understandable.

Value for Money

When we consider the functions you get I’m sure this watch provides excellent value for money particularly if you consider the cost.

Based on my personal experience in using my experiences with Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and also Google Pixel Watch, based on my experience with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 as well as Google Pixel Watch, if you have an Android smartphone that’s not manufactured from Google or Samsung then the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 is an ideal alternative.

One of the major concerns I experienced in one of the main issues I had with Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 was the fact that it was tailored for the use of certain Samsung phones. It also limited certain features when there wasn’t an existing Samsung phone. We’re talking about ECG as well as blood pressure monitors. This I consider to be an issue.

However, Mobvoi isn’t producing phones at present and therefore, they must adapt their watches to be compatible with any Android phones.

But, I’m not sure that it’s appropriate to make comparisons between the watch and major brands like Google which will probably be the first to receive updates on the device.

Based on what I have experienced in the past 3 months, I believe that the watch provides value to the price.

Conclusion

In conclusion of the 3-month evaluation Based on my own personal experience, I feel it is the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 is a great watch that has a wide range of functions, but also elegant.

Also, it has an excellent battery, which I consider to be an essential aspect for any watch to be able to.

There are some issues which Mobvoi must work on. The first is making sure that the watch’s firmware is kept up-to-date. It would be nice to have Google Assistant on the watch because it would improve the overall experience of using it significantly better.

In the end I’m very happy with the timepiece after 3 months.
